		<description>That&#039;s true, but the running of the plants doesn&#039;t necessarily mean they are making new cars in the system with defects; they may be completing production on WIP that is not related to the problem at all - some models were not part of the recall - like the Camry Hybrid.  Alternatively, they may be using this downtime for Kaizen events, training, etc.

Lean is good for everyone.  By Toyota opening up their plants to Americans in the 1980s, they did more good for the manufacturing landscape in this country than any other company has.  Countless jobs and millions of dollars have been saved in America due to the simple systems of Lean.</description>
