Even his rough technique can produce results where there normally would not be. That said, it is better to persuade people into action, but is three times is a fail, it is time to pull out the tough love and tell people how it is. Personally, I have yet to tell someone to "piss off home" yet... though I have wanted to several times. The key of standardization, maintaining and improvement are lost in the TV show, but that is not his role. That is always in the hands of those invested in the business for the long haul.
